On August 24th, Apple was involved in an autonomous car crash. The details were disclosed in a California DMV report. An Apple driverless vehicle crashed going 1 mile-per-hour. It was rear-ended by a Nissan Leaf.

Preparing to merge onto the Lawrence Expressway in Sunnyvale, the Apple car, which is a modified Lexus RX450h with autonomous sensor, received some small damage by the Nissan going around 15 mph. Luckily, the drivers were not injured.

Apple has 66 autonomous cars approved for testing in California. Two drivers are required to be inside an Apple car.
